Her career background includes working in different settings such as community grassroots organizations, charitable foundations, global development nonprofits, and universities. Roxanne has experience in direct social service provision, grant making, fiscal management, partnership and program development, social research, and teaching and training. She most enjoys starting up initiatives that improve people’s lives and livelihoods by working where business, philanthropy, and social work intersect.
Roxanne holds an M.A. in economics from George Mason University, an M.S.W. from the University of Chicago, and a B.A. in psychology from American University. When she is not working to strengthen the social sector and the communities it serves, Roxanne enjoys international travel with her partner, listening to live music, exploring more corners of the Pacific Northwest, and being active on Twitter @microfinanseer, where she opines about entrepreneurship, business, economics, gender equity, philanthropy, and culture (especially music).
